Youth Future Stars Camp

 

Youth Future Stars Camp Purpose: Provide and intense camp experience for skilled youth players. Camp will mirror a UTSA Practice setting. We will train players on a quality stretching and pre-practice routine, focus on defense and playing your position of choice, cover situational aspects of the game and cover a wide range of drills and techniques in the area of hitting and situational offense.

July 27th - 29th
Ages: 9 - 14
Check-In: The camp check-in time will be from 8:00-8:30am at Roadrunner Field Entrance.
Daily Camp Times: Starts: 8:30am / Ends: 4:00 pm
Cost: $270 per Camp
Cost Includes: T-Shirt, Camp Tuition and Lunch at Roadrunner Cafe

TUITION
$270.00 per Camp
Tuition does not include any meals, transportation, or lodging. The camp is not an overnight camp, thus players are responsible for their own hotel and transportation.

ESTIMATED DAILY SCHEDULE

  • 8:30-9:00am → Dynamic Warm Up/Throwing Program
  • 9:00am – 11::25am → Instruction/Evaluations
  • 11:30- 12:00 Camp Discussion
  • 12:00pm -1:00→Lunch
  • 1:00-3:00 Pitching/Catching/Hitting Instruction
  • 3:00-4:00: Game

EQUIPMENT
Each participant must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, helmet, bat, batting gloves and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Please mark each participants’ names on all items. The camp is not responsible for lost belongings.

MEALS
Meals during camp are the responsibility of the camper. Water will be provided at the event.

DIRECTIONS
Camp will be held at Roadrunner Field. To get to the field you will need to take the Babcock exit whether you are coming from 1604 East or West. If you are coming from 1604 East you will go through the light at Babcock and make first right into campus. There are no signs here. It is the first turn available once you go through the light. If you are coming from 1604 you will need to take the turn around when you exit Babcock and turn at the same spot. This is Sam Barshop Blvd. Continue straight on this road and you will see the field on the left side.

PARKING
If you wish to stay for the camp you will need to buy a parking pass for the day. They are $5. UTSA will ticket you if you do not have a pass!!! There is no parking garage adjacent to Baseball field. There is a parking garage on campus for those of you who wish to stay and watch camp.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.

CANCELLATION POLICY
All camps are non-refundable. Only camp credits will be given except in unforeseen circumstances, such as injuries or other unique situations. Please send your cancellation requests directly to the camp administrator, Penny Wuebben at penny.wuebben@utsa.edu . Your request must be sent 7 days prior to the start of camp to receive a future camp credit.
